Please be forewarned, staying on a boat is a VERY unique experience and many things are different to being a landlubber in standard accommodation (or a hotel for that matter), in terms of staff, electricity, water supply, pumping out after showers, toilet flush systems, etc.
All the IMPORTANT FEATURES OF THIS BOAT are highlighted at the start of the check-in index.
Should you require assistance - please refer to HELP DURING YOUR STAY.
IMPORTANT FEATURES OF THIS BOAT
WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON AN ALPHABETICAL 'HELP FOLDER' TO KEEP ON BOARD TO ASSIST WITH ANY ISSUES DURING A GUEST'S STAY!
To 'flush' away toilet contents, pull the 'flush handle' away from the device. This is located at the front of the toilet - midway down - under the lid. Pull this and the contents drop away.
DO NOT FLUSH AWAY SANITARY PRODUCTS OR EXCESS TOILET PAPER AS THIS CAUSES BLOCKAGES.
To stop an intermittent pump sound, turn the water off (push down) when not required. Remember to turn back on (pull up) when water is required! The switch is found in the wheelhouse near the helm/steering wheel labelled 'WATER'.
The shower room light (switch located in the master cabin) does not work unless the water switch (see above) is also turned on!
The light switch for the master cabin is on the ceiling light unit itself.
Please be mindful of the skylight when accessing the roof in that you do not stand on/through it.
- Be careful of your head as you climb the stairs from the living area into the wheelhouse.
- DO NOT use the small beds in the rear cabin except for storage purposes.
- Whilst showing, sometimes the drain pump does not turn on. If this happens and water does not automatically drain away, please bump/bash the top of the plastic box behind the toilet.
The use of too many heat generated items at the same time may trip the electrics as boats only have minimal power supply (16AMPS) for safety reasons. In other words, do not use ALL the plug-in heating at the same time and/or together with the toaster, kettle, hairdryer and/or cooker, etc.
It is natural during colder months for boats to be damp and cause condensation. As such, it is important for the dehumidifier to be running at all times (with doors/windows closed) and that the water collection tray is emptied regularly.
To cook on the induction cooker, place a pot/pan on the hob before adjusting the settings.

Finding the boat - "Go Dutch / Fairy Rae"
*Boat code will be provided by separate text / email the day prior to arrival*
Locate the last pontoon / walkway leading to RIVERSCAPES STAYCATIONS. This pontoon is right next to the
RIVERSCAPES BANNER. Walk down this pontoon and “Go Dutch/Fairy Rae” is the 3rd boat on the right. Board from the left-hand-side of the boat/port-side into the wheelhouse/helm. Please take care, ESPECIALLY if it has been raining or is cold and icy as areas around boats can get extremely slippery! There is a lockbox situated to the left of the wheelhouse/helm on the roof of the boat and "Enter Boat Code*.
Number of Guests / Bed Configuration / Prices
Only paying guests are permitted entry into the Marina / On Board and ALL visitors MUST obtain advance authorisation.
Whilst you will have exclusive use of the boat, please note that only the number of guests on the booking are permitted access. In other words, if 2 guests have booked, this does not mean that more can tag along for the same price. Furthermore, our base price is that of a moored stay for 2 guests / a couple sharing the master cabin. If 2 guests have booked but wish to have their own cabin, this will be at an extra charge of £30/guest if not arranged and paid for in advance. This charge covers extra laundry and cleaning.

FACEBOOK. An entry in our guest book would also be treasured. If, however, you feel dissatisfied with anything at all, no matter how small, we think it goes without saying that a private message would be much more appreciated than a negative or neutral feedback on a public forum – with thanks.
